For the first session of the ASEAN Studies Lecture Series (ASLS), we will explore the role of the ASEAN Chairship in shaping the direction of regional cooperation.

The lecture will briefly introduce the ASEAN Chairship priorities of the Philippines, situating the current regional agenda and ongoing initiatives. Beyond this overview, the session will engage more deeply with how the ASEAN Chairship helps steer the regional organization—examining its role in agenda-setting, consensus-building, and shaping the broader trajectory of ASEAN regionalism.
