“Beyond Patriarchal and Capitalist Productivity: Centering Care, Creativity, and Community at A Time of Incessant Invisibilization and Devaluation”

What is the work that sustains our workers and communities—still significantly carried out by women across different sectors and across the globe, so vital to our collective survival, and yet so taken for granted and devalued by patriarchal and capitalist notions of productivity and profitability?

Come and join us for an afternoon of care, creativity, and community as we deepen our appreciation and understanding of care work through a feminist printmaking workshop and discussion with women workers from the agricultural, informal, service, and care sectors.

“Beyond Patriarchal and Capitalist Productivity: Centering Care, Creativity, and Community at A Time of Incessant Invisibilization and Devaluation” is a class project organized by members of the WD 230 class, in partnership with TKTk Feminist Printmakers, that seeks to recognize, affirm, and amplify the value of care work through creative and alternative methods.
